Yes it's a little too late isn't it. More than a week since 2008 has started but I've been so tied up with school and all.
So here's to a brand new year. (:
Anyway, sometimes all it takes is to sit down, and reflect on the year that has passed, and to learn and experience from it. Sometimes, though there's everyone telling you this and that, giving you advice, you just need a reality check from yourself, the 'other' voice in your head, the silent observer, somewhat.
Dear Elyn,
2007 has come and gone and if you can recall properly, there really has been quite alot of events worth treasuring and remembering. Think hard.
Remember the time you nearly had to choose between the people you love?
Remember all the fallouts you've had with people?
Do you remember how you had the most amazing anniversary in 3years with Fattah?
What about all the friends you've made at work?
Your first time to Dbl O, your first sip and your first cable car ride? =P
The captain's ball match you had against barbarians?
What about the times when there wasn't a week that you didn't cry?
Remember that tutee you adored?
Firah's birthday chalet?
All the times you thought that you life's hit a dead end, but it didn't. All the times you thought you're gonna lose it all, you didn't. All the times you thought you'd die, you made it through fine and well.
Therefore, I hope you'll stick to your resolutions as close as possible.
Love,
Yourself.
1) Cut down on procrastination
2) Be punctual (stop giving excuses like you woke up late or left your wallet at home. that's so 5years ago)
3) Try to get a car liscence (it's ok. pelan-pelan kayuh)
4) Avoid repeating subjects
5) Stay happy and sane no matter how tough or trying the downturns may be in 2008
6) When things don't exactly go they way you wanted them to, do bear in mind that everything happens for a reason, and if you know that you've given it your share of effort, it means that God knows what's better for you. Everything happens for a reason, sometimes that we don't know of, but will probably find out eventually.
7) Most importantly, pray to Allah swt. (God doesn't exist only when you world's a disaster. He's not an Aunt Agony you turn to only when no one else hears you)
